The concept of I-SIS Radio began several years ago, when I started my first gig on terrestrial radio as a DJ. After witnessing and experiencing the double standard for how women in radio were being treated, I decided, along with a few of my fellow ladies-in-broadcasting, to attempt to create a "radio" environment where EVERYONE was treated equally. Where you were "graded" and advanced on your merit and talent and not your gender. Don't misunderstand...this is NOT a platform for male-bashing! Far from it!! It's just a place for putting the "broad" in BROADCASTING. Equal air time, equal opportunity, and equal input FOR ALL!! THIS IS OUR MISSION... THIS... AND... GREAT MUSIC!!! |
